We are updating Bruce Studios to make your membership more transparent, fair, and flexible. Starting September 2, we are introducing a series of changes aimed at improving availability, creating fairer access, and offering clearer membership options for everyone.

These updates are part of a broader effort to build a more sustainable model that benefits both members and partner studios. Below is a full overview of what’s changing and a small explanation why.

Booking Policy Updates

Earlier this spring, we introduced updated booking rules in Denmark to improve class availability and create a fairer experience for everyone. Since then, we have seen very positive results, with fewer late cancellations and significantly higher availability across almost all studios.

We also received very helpful feedback from our members, and based on that, we are now making a few adjustments to fine-tune the policy even further.

What’s changing:

  • Strike removal: Strikes will now be automatically removed one at a time every 60 days, starting from the first strike.

  • Simultaneous bookings:

    • Base: 3 bookings

    • Black: 4 bookings (previously 3)

    • Epic: 5 bookings

These adjustments are part of our aligned booking policy across all countries

As a reminder, here is an overview of the full Booking Policy

Key rules

  • Simultaneous bookings: Base (3), Black (4), Epic (5)

  • Late cancellation: Cancelling less than 12 hours before class = 1 strike

  • No-show: Cancelling less than 3 hours before class or not checking in at all = 3 strikes

  • Late check-in: Checking in after class start is considered late (some studios may require earlier check-in) = 1 strike

Strike system

  • 3 strikes = 14-day booking suspension

  • Suspension can be unlocked for 100 DKK

  • Strikes are removed automatically 1 at a time every 60 days, starting from the first strike

  • The first time a user misses to check-in, Bruce Studios covers the fee and informs the user. Future misses count as no-shows

Studio Visits & Monthly Limit

Studios will no longer be classified as Base, Black or Epic. Instead, how often you can visit each studio will depend on your membership level. This change is designed to give more members the opportunity to explore and enjoy a wider range of studios.

In the long run, we hope this new model will lead to better availability across the entire network, as it makes it easier for us to welcome even more studios, both new and returning.

Example

København Danser
Base: 2 visits/month
Black: 8 visits/month
Epic: 8 visits/month

To ensure the service remains fair and accessible, we are introducing a monthly check-in limit of 20 visits. This encourages more balanced usage across our network, which improves availability for the majority of members and supports a healthier, more sustainable collaboration with our partner studios.

For some studios, the new visit limits will apply from December 1. You can always check the current limits for each studio directly in the app.

These changes are made to improve access for most members and help make more spots available to more people.

Wellness Access

Wellness is now a separate category, including recovery-focused experiences like saunas, cryotherapy, massage and other services. Some existing studios will move into this category, and we’re also working hard to expand our wellness offering with new partners.

Monthly wellness visit limits:
Base: no access
Black: 4 visits/month
Epic: 8 visits/month

Wellness visits are included in the overall limit of 20 check-ins per month.

Here is a link where you can see all the studios included in the wellness category. The list is updated regularly as new studios are added.

Updated Pricing & New Membership Options

We are updating our pricing and making all membership levels available everywhere, now with the option to choose between monthly or annual plans.

These changes are designed to offer more flexibility and value over time.

New monthly prices:
Base: 599 DKK/month
Black: 899 DKK/month
Epic: 1199 DKK/month

New annual memberships:
Base: 499 DKK/month
Black: 799 DKK/month
Epic: 1099 DKK/month

You keep your price:
If you're on a monthly membership today, you'll keep your current price as long as you don’t cancel or change your membership.

About annual plans:

  • You can upgrade to a higher membership level during your annual commitment, but not downgrade.

  • When your annual plan ends, your membership will automatically continue as a monthly subscription at the standard monthly rate applicable at that time.

  • Pause rules remain the same for both annual and monthly memberships.

These updates are designed to help more members find the right balance between flexibility, value, and long-term commitment.
